FINRA numbers for dummies... the daily numbers posted are the number of shares the MM didn't have when making trades during the day. They aren't naked shares or real short shares.... but they do show how manipulated a share is manipulated by the % of shares sorted. If you see a stock price knocked down and the short percentage is above 30% then it's a sign that the MM is using unavailable shares to sell into the bid to push it down or using them to hold any buying from pusing the price up. The wash trades are what they do to cover their short trades during the day because they do not want to be holding a bag of shares that don't exsist. It's actually kind of simple and not a situation that is out growing everyday, it just highlights MM manipulation!
