No Bruce..I am not assuming a 50% tax bracket...that is what my accountant told me on captal gains.....
I have all my trading done through my company and I too have a loss on the books to carry forward before I'll pay any taxes..
I was simply stating what he told me when I asked how I'd be taxed.
It's actually 25%
If you make a million dollars, are taxed nothing on the first 50% which is 1/2 a million, and then taxed 50% on the second half a million you've only paid 250000 dollars.
That's 25%
