NIH Awards $1.7 Million Research Grant to $PTIE to Study Alzheimer's Disease
"This NIH research grant will enable Pain Therapeutics to begin testing PTI-125 in human subjects. An Investigational New Drug (IND) application for PTI-125 is on-track for submission to the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) in the third quarter of 2017."

This is good news for those of us holding out through Q1 2018, since then you have the positive direction of REMOXY on the horizon, and now with a small grant to start the process of their new drug... Of course, we can't forget that this is biotech - and the clinical trial process takes a lot of time, and a lot of money...
