Makes you glad that CTIX is following a protocol that gives hard data, before and after, doesn't it? And you can bet that the potential partners will be a lot more enthusiastic about any deal, knowing that there IS hard data -- unlike the debacle in the article that was linked.

I have not been following the efficacy of the "pill cam" -- where they have a teeny camera inside a big pill, and the cam takes pictures of the gut all the way through its passage. That would solve some of the ethics problems involved with subjecting patients to colonoscopies. It's good that CTIX is only going up 40 cm -- not a full colonoscopy. But as much as I understand why the one patient in the clinical trial just didn't want to undergo the procedure again after getting the course of treatment, it was really a betrayal of his/her agreement, not to mention potentially hurting other patients in the future (by not giving as complete a data set as the clinical trial should have had).
