Give or take a mile or two, Caesar's Head is about 120 miles northwest of Columbia SC and is located in Greenville County which is where I'll be all next week playing bridge.

I've never really put too much thought into why they get to be the size they are but I guess the availability of more food must have something to do with there size. All I know is that it is always a thrill to see any woodpecker. They have become a very rare sight.
