I reviewed the data from the B-UP trial with a few board certified Gastroenterologists and here is their
opinions.
1. the results for the higher dosing indicates that the 200 mg dose may be the sweet spot.
2. no absorption from gut at the 200 dose remains to be seen.
3. response rate and partial response rates were very promising at the higher doses
4. the satisfaction scores which are subjective in this population were phenomenal
5. creation of a foam preparation will increase dwell time by allowing B to stay in close proximity with the colonic mucosa for longer periods.
6. If endoscopic biopsies demonstrate healing of the mucosa and restoration of normal tissue, the proof of healing becomes purely objective despite psychological affect.
7. THIS IS MOST IMPORTANT: First in class, nontoxic, unabsorbed, non steroidal, nonbiological means
game changer.
There are a few players in the field who will pay up big time to capture this agent
