It's a start: patent trolls are getting cracked down upon. They can no longer file in whatever court they think is most likely to rule in their favor (there is one particular court that usually rules for them).

These guys are the equivalent of the ambulance-chaser lawyers who are so anxious to file "shareholder lawsuits" that enrich only the law firm, because most companies will pay them a few hundred thousand to go away (aka "greenmail" ). Thank goodness CTIX fought back and won.

This ruling will embolden more tech companies to stop paying their attackers too, which means lawyers and patent troll corporations won't be making their undeserved fortunes.
