What's astonishing to me and even more troubling is that Trump, in his infinite wisdom, decided on the obvious optic of meeting with the Russian Ambassador shortly after the firing. To make matters worse, he only allows in a Russia photographer. What did he talk about? A cover-up? Sharing classified information, as suggested in the Post? And folks are OK with that? The chant is now the Russians are our friends? Is that the twisted ideology now? Sense and sensibility in this WH left the room after the first few minutes.
