Currency and Commodities Markets
Crude oil futures are climbing $0.56 to $46.44 a barrel after sliding $0.55 to $45.88 a barrel on Tuesday. Gold futures, which fell $11 to $1,216.10 an ounce in the previous session, are rising $5.40 to $1,221.50 an ounce.
On the currency front, the U.S. dollar is trading at 113.90 yen compared to the 113.98 yen it fetched at the close of New York trading on Tuesday. Against the euro, the dollar is valued at $1.0877 compared to yesterday’s $1.0874.
