I understand where you are coming from but I also don't think he is retired from working. It sounds like he is just retired from the army. All Israelis serve in the army. It sounds like he may simply just pursuing his next career move and is just retired from the army. I don't think he is a retired guy living in Eilat on the beach that they called to come work for them.
