I completely agree. That's the one thing I wish colleges required nowadays - a course in personal finance, regardless of your major. I had to endure a course called "The Scientific Revolution in Early Modern Europe" which provided zero value in any way to any aspect of my life.
My question is - why the fuck are some people in this country so fucking stupid? A R/S is the most basic concept when it comes to stock fundamentals, yet people choose to get their information from unverifiable sources instead of reading articles on The Motley Fool, TheStreet, The Wall St Journal (my personal favorite), Investopedia, etc. It's FREE for fuck's sake.
