People of honor, people of good character, can be
forgiven for expecting that the people with whom
they deal - - to be of good character - - and to act
honorably as well.
That is a mistake I have often made, and you are
no more the fool for expecting and acting the same.
People of bad character, BAD ACTORS if you will,
have a persistent yet also temporary advantage over
people of good character.
I should have said "seemingly" persistent advantage.
( TWENTY YEARS is a long time for sure. )
