If the Trump Administration is foolish enough to take on the State's with either medical, or recreational marijuana approved, I believe they'll be cutting their own throat's. People all over the world are seeing benefits that can be derived from medical products that utilize cannabis in some form, and I believe if pushed, their will be greater support from Congress to legalize it in spite of anything Session's might say. As for Trump himself, he clearly has at times been on both sides of the question, he'll go with the majority.
As for the impact of any short term moves the Administration could take, while it does impact the group involved in cannabis, OWCP investors need to realize that the U.S. is far from their only market. It is the U.S.'s loss in not embracing the cannabis marketplace, making it legal, and naturally taxing it. Of course I feel much the same about prostitution and bookmaking, the Govt. in not legalizing these things simply allows it to happen without taxes and regulations, but I'd be willing to bet that most Police Departments are well aware that it's ongoing in their communities.
I would not be surprised to see Sessions take some action in a State where cannabis is legal. I hope he does, as that would bring this to a head. I believe that both the court system, and Congress will make it clear that where the people say it's legal, it's legal.
