Confused about which test is being used in Gates et al study

Scott,

I realize that the earlier version of the TB test was published in the Battelle article. But why wouldn't they use the newer version of it in the N-Assay format and have that version tested in the Gates et al study. Isn't the N-assay supposed to be the most powerful, superior version of the test?
