How do you know shorts would cover? You yourself have admitted that shorts are still covering with Sirius...only retail shorts would be "forced" and that number is low. The naked shorts are never forced because they can't be(mostly hedgies)...they are too big and sell their markers back and forth to avoid FTD's it seems and no government agency has the time,resources or incentive to try and unwind any of the mess....Too much is unregulated even on big boards...
