Crude oil prices fell $1.21 to $47.63.
The price of gold added $0.23 to $1,2576.79.
In U.S. markets; the Dow rose 36.43 points to 20,949.89, the S&P 500 gained 2.84 points to 2,391.17 and the NASDAQ added 3.77 points to 6,095.37.
In world markets; the Nikkei added 136.13 points to 19,445.70. The Hang Seng was up 81.27 to 24,696.13. The FTSE added 46.41 to 7,250.05 and the DAX gained 70.28 to 12,507.90.
