I do question their assessment about the results. To have this many patients stop declining and show a slight improvement after only 3 months is significant. It's possible that the drug may stabilize the disease -- which no other drug does. The other Alz drugs seem to stop working after a few months. Can't remember which one was studied recently -- it only seemed to have an effect for 3 months.
So I agree with the company that there need to be further studies, even though I think they made an idiotic decision to have this be only a 3-month study, and the way they presented the data was even more idiotic.
