The judge did write a brilliant opinion, well-researched and probably will be used as a precedent in future cases. I think she either chickened out on the sanctions -- when have you ever seen a lawyer really go after another lawyer (and a judge IS a lawyer after all) -- or else, pressure was brought to bear not to set THAT precedent, of sanctioning the ambulance chasers, for fear that other attorneys who actually AREN'T ambulance chasers might get sanctioned. Or of course, pressure from cronies of Rosen et al.
