Well my brokerage went from Zecco to TradeKing. Letter said Ally acquired TradeKing. Best I can tell that happened June of 2014, Ally formerly being GMAC Financial, the government taking it over in the finacial melt down. Best I can tell that involves 40-60 million A shares of Ally formerly GMAC being offered publicly to Divest the Holdings of GMAC Financial completely and clear the Federal Governments books.
Under The Dodd Frank Law. Financial institutions have 2 years to divest and clear shares in high risk or Toxic investments ... I believe.
Question is was GM invested in DUTV globally. How big is it ? 10.6 Trillion bailout. Some I have talked with suggest 4-6 Trillion is still entangled.
2 years is up sometime in June 2017... New SEC chief in 2018. I am not convinced Dodd Frank was put in place to save or help the little guy, but to keep 10 Trillion from being 60 Trillion world economic collapse.
