The whole idea is for shareholders not to sell at any price. The price will keep going up to entice sellers. Share price could climb to $1/share if through a coordinated effort all shareholders stood together with one big tight fist. That would be very difficult because many will have exit strategies with much lower goals. Hedge funds will pay whatever necessary as soon as possible because they know the risks of the sky being the limit. They want to pay the lowest possible price but the covering momentum will ensue with the right circumstances.
