Just a FYI, Metro North has a stop 3 miles from Stewart airport. For those not knowing of metro north is the commuter train service serving NY, CT, and NJ. All lines go to Manhattan and suburbs

Having just moved from the area, NY has always been looking at Stewart as the 4th airport behind LGA, JFK and EWR. There is no room for expansion at those 3 and flight traffic is more than the 3 can handle.
White Plains would be nice, but not enough land and the residents would never approved the increased flight traffic.
