If someone's "friends" are going to short the stock they wouldn't announce it beforehand. Doesn't make any sense whatsoever. Shorts need people to sell to at high prices. They'd never encourage others to sell unless they already shorted and will have a difficult time trying to cover. Add to that forthcoming franchising update and anyone shorting would be screwed. Any significant dip would be short lived and I would just buy more.
