There are a few biotechs that have done international phase 2 studies, and upon very positive results go on to phase 3 in the US while going direct to market in other countries- Europe, Russia, China etc.

While this sounds like a great situation, it's not as good as you'd think because we pay far more in the US for drugs than all other countries.
