I did e-mail OWCP about this and the response I got was actually what I expected:
Yes we are protected.
Getting into the IP world cannot be done over email but:
Many can manufacture - sublingual, sellable, pill, CBD - there is no way to protect that. What can be protected is composure of ingredients and know how that makes this more effective and this is what we do.
