From the shareholders letter
As you may be aware ,conducting business in China often comes with a number of unknown factors and a constantly shifting business and regulatory climate.Accomplishing this in one year is a testament to GTG's experience working in China and its stature within the Chinese business and regulatory communities.
In that sense, we believe that our Joint Venture Partner GTG and its team is truly an ideal partnership to allow QMC to successfully penetrate the China market where instead, activity in the region might have unmitigated risk from unscrupulous competition.I have developed a close working relationship with the GTG group and with their assistance,I have personally met and discussed our collaboration business with many top executives in the Chinese Display industry.Chinese governmental agencies, and current and past major display industry CEOs,ministers and regulators.I have been very impressed with the enormous support and cooperation our China JV business has gained for Quantum Materials.
I am extremely confident that we will achieve an enviable position as a significant supplier to the Chinese display industry.
From my experience with my Chinese clients its all about relationships formed. We know there is a longstanding relationship with Liu Xiao and BOE executives and management. The last statement by Steve is pretty bold and confident in the way it is worded. In this case where there is smoke I can clearly see a fire has started. When I was at CES there was a large delegate of Chinese there meeting with Steve and I am guessing now that perhaps these are the ones mentioned in the shareholders letter.I didn't understand the significance of their presence at that time but now I do.
