I frankly believe they were brilliant in outsourcing the mass production of product to companies who are already doing it with other somewhat similar products. Perhaps in time they'll be so big that they can go it alone, but I believe that with what they've done, they'll see the bulk of the sales earnings without any costs for doing so.

In some cases I've seen even giant Pharma's contract out production as facilities to do so are very expensive to build. Many contractors can adapt equipment they already have to produce new products. They also don't have to go into the cost of developing a distribution and sales network for one or just a few products, the companies they're with already have it in place.
