At this point in your career, you wouldn't be a research associate at a small university if you were talented. Research associate is the kind of title given to students before graduation. If you were somewhat talented, you would be a visiting scientist or visiting scholar, but if you were really talented you would be given a professional work visa or green card so QMC wouldn't have to use an education visa to rent you from a small school under a contract with wasted overhead since you would be an official QMC company employee.
