You misunderstand, Fitz. The big-mouthed, overcompensating, Id driven fear-mongers are in charge now. "He says what I think" has implications, and here we are.
One thing that has disappeared from public discussion is deficit spending the debt and deficit.
Predictably, none of that counts for shit now. Otherwise we'd be hearing an outcry from the righties on here who whined about all of it under Obama.
OOPPS my bad, I forgot, examples of double standards and hypocrisy are also up like the proposed increase in defense spending.
