BOE has 8.5 generation plant TFT-LCD Line being built in Fuzhou and a 10.5 generation plant TFT-LCD Line being built in Hefei. Both should be coming on line in 2018. Multi-billion dollar facilities.
At the Phospor/QD forum a speaker named Guangkui Qin | Senior Researcher of BOE was supposed to be presenting and one of the 3 topics he was to discuss was on the use and the future of quantum dots in displays.
I was wondering if anybody heard anything about his presentation. Did he give any hints as to whether BOE was planning QD production in their new plants they are building in China.
