DECN- Some of these are old stats, I think that they have in the past severely underestimated the numbers and have been caught of guard in many countries by the ballooning epidemic. It's a huge market beyond any doubt and I think we will see more countries take similar action due to the rising cost. In the US we have a gray market for test strips because people cannot afford to buy enough to properly manage their glucose levels, I can only guess it's much worse in less developed places.
