Hannity: Time for Trump to 'Purge' Obama Holdovers From Executive Branch
Sean Hannity thinks President Donald Trump should fire all the "deep state, Obama holdover" government bureaucrats, because many are "hellbent" on destroying his presidency.
"It's time for the Trump administration to begin to purge these saboteurs before it's too late," Hannity said in his opening monologue tonight.
He pointed out that President Abraham Lincoln fired more than 78 percent of executive branch employees during his presidency.
"It's time now for President Trump to follow Abraham Lincoln's example and fire anyone and everyone who's actively working against him in government," Hannity said.
He noted that President Bill Clinton utilized this tactic in 1993, when he fired all 93 U.S. attorneys on day one of his first term.
"It's very important for President Trump to act right now," Hannity said. "He's got to end the leaks that are plaguing this administration."
"My message tonight is simple: Every holdover from the Obama administration, they need to go."
