I lived in Manhattan Beach Ca 1970 - 1972.
The fog would roll in my kitchen window
and you heard the surf going to sleep.
No graffiti. Clean. No smog the beach area.
No building over 2 stories tall & that
was a hand-made-earthenware factory.
Got a whole 8-setting deal $100 for
my sweet woman.
I'd rent a bicycle weekends Hermosa beach
and go up Palos Verdes Peninsula Sat or Sun.
Ate the best Mexican food in the world on the piers.
I smelled the ocean for two weeks at night after I left.
Sometimes go down to Laguna Beach for a weekend,
artist colony.
