you need Level 2 quotes to see the Market makers movements.
all the trading platforms offer level 2 quotes , many for free if you have been with them long enough or have enough activity on your account.
with L2 you can see the market makers and how they play their games(at times)
However what you cant see is the amount of shares they are offering(sometimes).
many times they will show , for example, 5k shares for sale at .11 cents when in fact they have much much more . It kind of stinks-But its the way it is.
I am thinking we are close to getting them out of there but the only people who know the exact answer to that question is the Market maker and the Seller
