You also did not have lifetime coverage without limit. And of course you could not retain coverage on your son up through age 26.

All of that went into employer plans as well as exchange plans.

I don't like the Rube Goldberg arrangement either. A public option or straight out single payer would be better. Decouple health care coverage from employment.
