Thanks NoSpin, I was thinking about it but I didn't because it's not the complete explanation for penny stock swings/volatility. It does however at least roughly cover how easy it is for MMs or private interests to manipulate a cheap stock with relatively low volume.

Hell, you and I could coordinate it if we had the desire and enough shares and cash to just keep hammering the board with asks and bids that most traders couldn't top, at least not sustained. If you can do that and basically run the closest heavy hitters out of ammo, you pretty much own the board.

MMs and heavily loaded traders/groups can definitely pull this off, but even they will get run over by huge buying pressure soon enough. It's coming, sure as the summer heat in Death Valley.
