If there's a significant event, as YOU suggested, then yes that would be insider trading.
You should go to a quiet room and think about what YOU alleged, which was something MUST BE happening in order to explain the increased volume.
You said it, as did a few others.
I didn't allege anything except to say, IF your claims were true (volume = significant event) then that would be insider trading.
Volume alone doesn't mean anything, even in the winter.
