VA takes
Care of a lot in basic care. They don't have dental and for some of us it's a matter of how to fill the hole if we really do get sick and have to have a surgery or stay in the hospital.
Now my dad had the VA, Medicare and Blue Cross. That was affordable. All 3 didn't cost him over $100 per month. However that was 25 years ago. All he had to pay was his co pays and premiums.
A Vet Gap program in the $50-75 per month range would go a long way.
