An effective way to counter the basher is:
1) Do not directly reply to his posts.
2) Post positive things about the company instead.
3) Post frequently to push his posts off the front page of the board
4) Don't try and prove him wrong. He doesn't care if he's right or wrong. All he wants is to do argue with people and disrupt the board. Accuracy isn't his goal, negative noise is.
5) If you don't reply, he ends up arguing with himself and it takes the wind out of his sails. He becomes less effective. Arguing with him plays right into his game.
