Oroville Dam empties into the Feather River above Sacramento, so we are far west of that and close to the ocean. I live on high enough ground.
We have a stretch of hwy 37 from Novato to Vallejo on the SF Bay which is practically at water level and that has been closed for two weeks now while they build a higher road right there. The whole road, maybe 20 miles is only a couple of feet above tides is $11MM, and the cost to raise the whole road up is astronomical. http://www.sfchronicle.com/bayarea/article/In...927495.php
