DECN- We are currently using Freestyle test strips and have a wireless control meter that controls an insulin delivery device. If the new DECN strips are indeed a freestyle alternative I'll see if we can use them and let you know how they work. We are also considering trying the Dexcom 5 monitor device but not the additional dexcom equipment only the glucose monitor. According to Dexcom you need a "minimum of 2 strip test a day" for the new device, I believe it will be 5 to 6 per day based on our use of the previous version but we will see. I'll also let you know how this works if we do end up giving it a try.
