Bill Ring, CEO & President:
Bill Ring received his PhD in Physics from the University of Surrey, United Kingdom. He worked as a Principal Engineer at Hewlett Packard, designing and manufacturing uncooled FP and DFB lasers. He has published several papers on laser devices and device physics. At Tyco Electronics he was responsible for operations and development at the active products group in NJ developing and manufacturing transceivers for the datacenter and Ethernet markets. Since 2005 he has worked in several industries including Solar Power and Defense. He was CTO of Solar Systems for 5 years prior to starting BB Photonics. Bill's experience covers all aspects of semiconductors, product development and volume manufacturing.
