"Algerian" Strikes Retail Nerve with New TITLE and PACKAGING from Hannover House
Good Morning HHSE Friends & Followers - Back in July, August and September of 2015, Hannover House released the acclaimed, indie political thriller "THE ALGERIAN" to 22 theatrical markets in the top USA Cities.

Despite the significant consumer visibility, press support and box office results of this theatrical release, three of the top four largest video purchasers subsequently turned down carrying videos of the title. The prevailing feedback was that the title "The Algerian," implied to consumers that the film is of foreign origin, and quite possibly, in a foreign language, such as Arabic. Despite our efforts to clarify the packaging to emphasize the film's USA origin (and original-language English production), we were unable to overcome the retailer's resistance to thinking it still sounded "foreign."
Accordingly, we were pleased to receive across-the-board support from these same video accounts with a RETITLED version and new packaging. So without further delay, we are pleased to announce the JUNE DVD and BluRay release of "SLEEPER CELL" - which feels well-timed for the currently enhanced fear of terrorists that may have infiltrated into America (which is the plot of this film).
As these key accounts begin to formally list their June releases, we will update this blog post.
