last week's events--Thursday it is announced that Kalitta and Claire are no longer on the BOD--Friday the company announces that the FAA denial of certification has been removed and clears the way to proceed. Connected or coincidental? Clearly the two board members were probably removed for different reasons.
Competing with the company[edit]
Directors cannot compete directly with the company without a conflict of interest arising. Similarly, they should not act as directors of competing companies, as their duties to each company would then conflict with each other.
Kalitta owns and operates an airline that ships cargo. Baltia is starting an airline that transports people and ships cargo. Conflict?
Claire? Although cleared of wrong doing, past dealings with the SEC?
Whatever the reasons it seems that Tony is dotting all the i's and crossing all the t's in an effort to have everything done the right way. IMO
