I have an independent mechanic who runs his own shop.My cheapest way to replace parts is to have the mechanic identify the parts that need replacing and then I price the parts at NAPA,Autozone,etc.and get the best prices.Then I buy the parts and bring them to my mechanic and have him install them.That way I'm only paying for the labor and not the 50-100% mark-up on the parts.Remember all mechanics buy their parts wholesale and mark them up and sell at retail.Be your own wholesaler.
