And one point that is very important to understand is that when our abacavir glycolate Prurisol is metabolized, it's metabolized by breakage of the ester linkage to form glycolic acid and abacavir, that's why abacavir can be used as the reference drug for long-term safety because it is formed by the metabolic action of esterases on Prurisol.
