Yes, they manipulated, made sure that it closed down even through there were open orders higher than their supposed "last" trade.
But, they are VERY mistaken if they think any of us long-time shareholders are going to sell. I suspect there were very few real shares changing hands today, and any that did went into strong hands that are not going to let go of shares at these absurdly low prices.
