Yeah, i really don't know how it works. If you look at SPCL and PKGM recent filings you will see they almost all come around 5-6 PM.
I think they may get uploaded after 5PM but are technically considered next day filings or something. I don't really know.
I check the SEC site at 4:30 every day, and if I see nothing by then I assume nothing is coming.
