It's called greed and no competition and no oversight. Companies shouldn't be allowed to jack up prices by many hundreds of percent or worse. Asthma inhalers are a prime example. When a generic was made, they were 8 dollars. All the companies just completely and utterly coincidentally (sarcasm) decided not to make generics any more. Now they are 54-87 bucks. No difference in delivery system or anything -- just, no generics available. Ripping off the consumer through collusion.
