You are both completely incorrect. Individuals need to stop citing polls as absolute. Here's the so called data via CNN:
http://edition.cnn.com/election/results/exit-polls
24,558 respondents
128,824,833 votes cast
That is a sample size of 1.906309476838212e-4(1.91%)
So if I sample 2 apples out of 100 apples(2%).... will that tell me the percentage of how many apples are good compared to bad in said sample. Absolutely not...and that is why these so called methods need to be drastically changed... if to be taken seriously.
