I reached out to Safeway about Bellissima
Customer Service response: "Thank you for writing to us with your suggestion that Safeway carry Bellissima Prosecco. Your comments have been forwarded to the buyers and to the Store Manager for review." Response said 'buyers' - plural. I bet I'm not the first to inquire. Anyway, nice to put or re-put it on their radar.
Wine Steward at local Safeway response: "We received your inquiry regarding the Bellissima Prosecco and I am here to help offer any assistance I can with not only this wine but others as well! Currently, we are unable to acquire the Bellissima wines as they are only available in 3 states." Hopefully, she is misinformed. Yet, she is clearly an expert for a local branch of the second biggest grocery store chain in the U.S. Not sure what to make of this.
Wine Steward also added: "That being said, there are a number of California wineries that are also Organic, as well as practicing sustainable winegrowing AND packaging processes that I might be able to direct you to." This made me wonder about our competition, as well as packaging.
